Looks like it has taken me a minute to fully understand what we are to do on this Blog page.This week we are to post on a topic we would like to write about. I would like to know what you think of the topic of Acromegaly? Acaromegaly was once known as a circus freak sideshow because of how tall a man had grown and how disfigured his body was. Well this is not the case today, this topic has hit home for me and my family. As you may already know my 16 month old grandson Caleb had to under go some test for this disease and well thank G-d he is a normal healthy baby boy that is just big (very big) for his age. When we were first told of the condition I had never heard of it before, and well I was wondering how many others were in the same boat as we were?
Acromegaly is a chronic,debilitating condition caused by excesive secretion of growth hormone (GH). Please let me know what you think of this topic.
