Plagiarism

Hello Class,

This week we are to blog about plagiarism, let me first say that I am very bad a paraphrasing, although until enrolling in Kaplan I had no idea what plagiarism even was. After reading about it I wonder how many times I have used others words and have not quoted or cited the proper person for it. I do however use the proper citations when doing assignments for this class, and trust me it came with a price. I failed to cite the right web site for the work I had used in one of my classes and earned a zero for that assignment needless to say I try to make sure to get it right now,I am sure that because this is still all new to me I am bound to screw up again not meaning to but until, I can work this into an everyday writing experience it is still subject to me messing up.
I would love to post about APA format but this is not some thing that I can seem to get a handle on no matter how many times I read and reread it I just can't seem to get it right. So if anyone can offer some help in this area I would be ever so thankful.
