In this weeks blog we are to answer the following questions Hummm Looks like the making for a good blog week.
How do you feel about peer reviews? What have your experiences with them been like?
Peer reviews always make me very nervous, I am one that is very critical on the things I do and try for perfection, notice the word try. lol I tend to take things to heart much more than I should so this weeks up coming peer review will be reeking havoc on my nerves for sure. I have received reviews from the writing center that have really gotten me down heart-ed as far as feed back, but am working on how to turn feedback into a positive and not a negative.
Discuss any “Ah Ha” moments you have had during the writing process or in your research.
Any AH HA moments, I would have to say that the documented proof of a disease such as acromegaly and gigantism have given me an AH HA moment throughout my research of it knowing that such people over the height of 7-8 feet tall is not just a freak of nature but is caused by a very rare but deadly disorder would definitely be cause for an AH HA effect for anyone.
Is there anything that you have found shocking or intriguing in the process or your research?
Yes I would have to say the similarities of the two diseases caught me off guard.Even though one starts at a much younger age than the other they are both caused by benign tumors in the pituitary gland and have the same disabling effects.
